Help Save the Indian River Lagoon!
Show Your Opposition to the Oslo Boat Ramp

Dear Friend,

On February 13, 2018, the Indian River County Commissioners will once again be discussing the development of the Oslo boat ramp, a project that could be harmful for the Indian River Lagoon. The lagoon is important habitat for manatees, and this project will increase the number of boats accessing the area. In addition, development could impact seagrasses and a thriving fish nursery that are important to the health of the lagoon. Dredging will cause a trough and naturally collect muck in an area where there currently is none. Paving the road will allow chemicals and other harmful pollutants into the lagoon.

Three years ago, many concerned citizens signed petitions and filled the commission chambers to protest against the Oslo boat ramp project. We need your help now to tell commissioners you oppose the project once again.
